Hi, We’re Nido.
Our Story
Caitie & Meg met in NYC on the founding team of a new infant program in 2017. As we fell in love with the magic of infant-toddler learning, we also found in each other both a profound shared respect for babies as well as a mutual propensity towards laughter & clowning around that has sustained us as friends and colleagues ever since. After years of teaching in large childcare centers, we had a vision for a new kind of infant-toddler group care. A place to take the learning of babies seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. A place where adults and children are inspired, engaged, connected & at ease.
Nido began as a shared dream and quickly grew as we felt called to serve children beyond their toddler years. Along the way, we welcomed dear friends and family into the work—Natalie, Caitie’s wife, and Erna, a longtime colleague of Meg and Caitie—who now help lead our older cohort. With our teachers’ own children among our students, Nido has truly become a family affair! From the beginning, Nido was envisioned not simply as a school, but as a joyful, welcoming place where folks feel seen, heard, and valued for who they are.
